How much does a survey cost?
Several factors, including the distance to the job, the amount of surveying already completed in the area, the amount of time it will take to complete the job, and other factors determine a survey’s price. However, we do offer free estimates, so you can know how much a survey in your specific scenario will cost. How does a survey work?
For a typical land survey, we show up when we are scheduled to arrive and set up our instruments to begin working. We then locate any corners that are needed to compute your property boundary, then set 1/2” iron pins with a plastic cap bearing our name and license number at your property corners if there is not already an existing monument there. For line staking, we stake the lines between your property corners with wooden stakes set at 100′ intervals. If brush or trees block the line of sight from one wooden stake to another, we flag the obstructions where the property line runs through them.
After this, we draw a plat of the survey detailing the property we surveyed, the corners we set and found, how we determined where the property lines ran, the location of fence lines and other encroaching improvements, and send several copies to you for any future personal use you may require of them. This is your proof that you had a survey completed and the proof that the survey was done per Missouri law.
Do you record my plat?
In the case that we created new parcels of land during the course of your survey, we record that survey with the appropriate county. For all other cases, you can request we record your survey with the county, which we will oblige.
I have a property located a great distance from Roby. Will you still survey it?
Yes, we can and will survey property anywhere in the State of Missouri.
